Hotel Silicon - Incident with Psycho - June 1998
This transcript appeared in an article from the Silicon Soup newspaper entitled My side of the story by Psycho - June 14th 1998. To provide added context, the article is being reprinted here alongside the transcript as it was originally published.
Also, the term basementing refers to avatars who break the Terms of Service of the world being sent to the Basement region you see in the image below. It's likely this region was cloned and looped back in on itself in every direction so avatars who were sent there were totally isolated from every other avatar.

Okay, this is how it really happened... everything Tigereye said is true, I was holding the items for him because his pocket was full. This article is about the log of me being basemented. It doesn't take a genius to see that I NEVER REFUSED TO GIVE BACK THE ITEMS. Valet Robert is obviously an idiot.
He kept stating I refused to give back the items, this is not the case.

Concierge Claudette: He should have moved to get them when I told him.
Maverick: don't ban him forever..he is addicted
Valet Robert: How can you defend him when he stole from all of you?
Valet Robert: I don't understand that
Maverick: the basement is no fun..I was da first one there ever and I wuz there recnetly <react>
Concierge Claudette: That's what I want to know.

Concierge Claudette: What they did was not fair to everyone in this room.
Maverick: claudette: let me tell you, I wouldn't have changed ..but when I was basemented for that long I learned my lesson

Concierge Claudette: If you screw the community, you screw yourself. That's the bottom line here.
Maverick: so will you give them another chance after they r punished for a little bit?

Valet Jadi: The point is that the vendo was invisible for a reason...and up to Claudette when the items were to become available to the community..not up to TE

Valet Robert: I could see if he played Robin Hood buy how do you defend someone that stole from you and offered you nothing?

Concierge Claudette: However take into consderation that they were both warned.

Concierge Claudette: patch use is a violation of the TOS and certainly receiving stolen items is a violation of the community as a whole.

I said I wouldn't be ordered around at gunpoint and only given 30 seconds. I can't even move two locales in 30 seconds. Also, I USED NO PATCHES whatsoever. Claudette's reason for me being banned was first patch use, then refusal to return items, which NEITHER is true. Finally after I was basemented, I logged on as my ALT and esped her "Look, I don't know what I did wrong, if having items is a crime, I'll gladly return them, just tell me where to meet you"
My alt was then muted 30,000 minutes and basemented as well. It's obvious the items weren't the reason for the basementing either.
Then why you ask?
Personal biased reasons. They have nothing to do with this incident at all.
I didn't break any rules, any laws, any ToS's. Hell I didn't even swear.
I've e-mailed dream@WorldsAway.com, wa_webmail@WorldsAway.com, and of course Claudette... I've received no answer from any of them as of yet.
Only time can tell what will happen.
Also, on Tigereye's part... he *did* use a patch yes, but Claudette *TOLD* him to get the items. Neither of us did anything wrong... and that's a fact. Also, just FYI ***IF*** I had refused to return the items, that is still no grounds for basementing. (I did not refuse however). Claudette was acting on *only* a personal hatred towards me.
