Dreamscape Town Meeting - September 9th, 1999

From Reno Project

This town meeting was held impromptu on September 9th, 1999 as a response to recent price changes that were made to the Dreamscape. Following is the introductory text of the article this transcript originally came from which provides additional context, as well as images taken from the meeting.

Kymer News - the Virtual Planet - Early Response to New VZones Pricing - Sept. 9, 1999 by gloree

Some Kymer citizens are greatly worried about the new price changes for VZones. Below is one example.

N90909.gif

In the news released Wednesday morning, VZones will offer membership to it's customers for $9.95 for a time period of six months as opposed to the $19.95 that Dreamscape citizens pay for one month. As Michael and Delilah mentioned in the previous announcement, pricing alternatives are also being sought for the Dreamscape.

The community concern brought Delilah and Michael in for an impromptu town meeting.

N90909a.gif

They explained that NRW and Club Connect are commercial worlds and cannot be compared directly to the Dreamscape. They reassured us that they both have their virtual roots in Kymer, and will do all they can to protect the Dreamscape. They also stated that plans for alternative Dreamscape pricing are being worked on, and these may indeed lead to lower prices here as well. However, the details of these arrangements cannot be divulged at this time. [My guess is there are unfinished deals in the making.] We should expect some information about these alternatives as soon as it is available, but this could still be weeks away. They ask for your support and trust as they work hard behind the scenes to make our world even better.

There will be a town meeting Saturday at 1:00 in front of the main temple entrance. If you have questions to be answered, please send them to : delilah@avaterra.com or michael@avaterra.com

Spiderwoman: Hello Delilah<grin><grin>

Kaiserfuchs: welcome Delilah

Delilah (World Events Manager): Ladies and gentlemen...

gloree: welcome<bow>

Kaiserfuchs: may I run first a macro with our concenrs?

Delilah (World Events Manager): let me say a few words.

Delilah (World Events Manager): Yes, KF, go ahead.

Kaiserfuchs: New NRW price is $9.95/6 months - Dreamscape remains at $19.95/month

Kaiserfuchs: !!!!! > The Dreamscape membership fee will be soon 12 (TWELVE) times as much as in NRW

Kaiserfuchs: Many fellow avatars will leave from here to NRW <sigh>

Kaiserfuchs: We say: DON'T LEAVE, this will only cause the Dreamscape to be closed down soon!

Kaiserfuchs: STAY and show your strong support for the Dreamscape by showing a BLACK CANDLE on the streets!

Kaiserfuchs: We want the DS fees to be lowered at least to a maximum of 2 times the NRW fees!

Kaiserfuchs: <bow>

Delilah (World Events Manager): First, let me assure you all

Delilah (World Events Manager): that we have not forgotten DS.

Delilah (World Events Manager): As posted in the forum

Delilah (World Events Manager): we have alternatives that we are looking at

Delilah (World Events Manager): for DreamScape, however

Delilah (World Events Manager): we don't have final details at this time.

Delilah (World Events Manager): It is not our intent to close or drive away our DS members.

Delilah (World Events Manager): We realize the new pricing for VZones indirectly affects the membership here.

gloree: Will lower prices be coming?

Soleil: Do those possible alternatives include a reduction in price?

Delilah (World Events Manager): It is a possibility

Delilah (World Events Manager): and a likelihood, however

Delilah (World Events Manager): I cannot give details

gloree: ghosts ask if alternatives include merging dS and NRW

Delilah (World Events Manager): and I cannot assure you one way or the other.

Soleil: Gloree...the software would not support a merger

Delilah (World Events Manager): Exactly

gloree: ok, that answers that

Kaiserfuchs: it was the DS that supported NRW

Kaiserfuchs: and made it possible

Kaiserfuchs: it was US who helped the NRW

Kaiserfuchs: now we would expect to have the NRW in reverse help US as well

Kaiserfuchs: eg. in terms of lowering prices from revenues

Delilah (World Events Manager): Guys, I understand you're upset.

Delilah (World Events Manager): Michael <bow>

gloree: Michael<grin><grin>

Soleil: Welcome Michael<bow>

Kaiserfuchs: <bow>

Spiderwoman: Michael<bow>

Mary J: Michael<bow>

Delilah (World Events Manager): In our letter

Delilah (World Events Manager): we indicated that we would be scheduling town meetings

Delilah (World Events Manager): to address all of these concerns

Kaiserfuchs: a difference of TWELVE times is too much

Delilah (World Events Manager): we also indicated that we were examining

Delilah (World Events Manager): alternatives for DS.

Kaiserfuchs: how would a new member even _consider_ to come here

Delilah (World Events Manager): We don't have answers to all of your questions right now

Kaiserfuchs: when heshe had to pay TWELVE times as much?

Soleil: I hafta agree w/ KF on that<shrug>

Michael (World Manager): This is why we are looking into options that

Kaiserfuchs: I mean is it not double as much or 4 times as much

Kaiserfuchs: 12 times

Kaiserfuchs: 12

Spiderwoman: I think we all agree and know the answer , KF

Michael (World Manager): allow us to lower the DS pricing plan.

Soleil: how many KF?..<g>

Delilah (World Events Manager): Yes, I think we're clear on the numbers, KF.

Delilah (World Events Manager): You have made your point, regarding the price.

gloree: Any idea when we might have a change?

Delilah (World Events Manager): We can't give you details at this point.

Kaiserfuchs: my point is not the price but the concern...

Kaiserfuchs: that people will LEAVE and no new ones will come

Delilah (World Events Manager): Until we have a final plan, if we suggest what it might be

Kaiserfuchs: and, in turn, forces you to CLOSE the DS

gloree: and DS is nothing without avies

Kaiserfuchs: fro economic reasons

Delilah (World Events Manager): there leaves room for misunderstandings

Delilah (World Events Manager): we are not looking to close the DS

Delilah (World Events Manager): We are not trying to force DS members into VZones.

Delilah (World Events Manager): They are different worlds

Delilah (World Events Manager): with different cultures

Delilah (World Events Manager): with different directions.

Kaiserfuchs: but with a 12 times rpice differnece you DO that

Kaiserfuchs: price difference

gloree: maybe it won't be for long KF

Delilah (World Events Manager): The possibility for partnerships and advertising

Michael (World Manager): Someone is asking me why the price can be done for NRW and not for DS/

Delilah (World Events Manager): was introduced here a while back.

Michael (World Manager): It is because NRW has commercial ads and such.

Delilah (World Events Manager): It was not graciously accepted

Delilah (World Events Manager): by any stretch of the imagination.

Kaiserfuchs: Michael, we both know that us was the DS who made NRW possible

Kaiserfuchs: it is not expected to muuch to have NRW now help US as well

Michael (World Manager): and it is NRW that kept DS alive in the past 12 months.

gloree: maybe it's time to rethink that

Delilah (World Events Manager): We have already said time and again

Mary J: how so?

Delilah (World Events Manager): that we have alternatives in mind

Delilah (World Events Manager): for DS.

Spiderwoman: well...if NWR kept DS alive

Delilah (World Events Manager): However, we can't and won't be able to disclose those details at this point.

Spiderwoman: there is something wrong someplace

Spiderwoman: I think

Kaiserfuchs: it is one company and one product <shrug>

Mary J: I agree

Kaiserfuchs: and if it is seperated, that would justify different pricings...

Delilah (World Events Manager): It's is one company with 2 products.

Delilah (World Events Manager): Two separate memberships

Kaiserfuchs: but then the world could be run seperately also

Soleil: I, for one, am willing to give them time for DS. Michael said we would have new items soon..and we do. Why not give hima and Delilah the benefit of the doubt this time?

Mary J: I will

gloree: well, I sure am not moving

gloree: my feet are stuck here

Soleil: I wont either...YET!

Mary J: I refuse to leave

Delilah (World Events Manager): We don't want you all to give up the dream.

Delilah (World Events Manager): We can't stress that enough.

Delilah (World Events Manager): I can and will tell you all

Mary J: would hafta pry me a way with a crowbar

Delilah (World Events Manager): that of all the flack Michael has taken in these past weeks

Soleil: As long as they continue in to progress...I will stay.

Delilah (World Events Manager): you can thank him for much of the consideration

Delilah (World Events Manager): that has gone into keeping it alive.

Soleil: I do have to admit that the price situation is a bit unnerving though.

Delilah (World Events Manager): There is much behind the scenes that is not clear to our membership.

Delilah (World Events Manager): We can understand the upset regarding the pricing.

Delilah (World Events Manager): A year ago, as a member, I would have been upset too.

Kaiserfuchs: I can understand the advertises are paying the worlds

Delilah (World Events Manager): But we have come a long way from $300 CS bills.

Kaiserfuchs: but - there are members here as well

Delilah (World Events Manager): The company has continued to move ahead.

Kaiserfuchs: and those members make the world

Delilah (World Events Manager): It isn't always at the pace we'd like it to be.

Kaiserfuchs: without members, no need for advertises

Delilah (World Events Manager): However, each change, each addition

Delilah (World Events Manager): is for the betterment of the community.

Delilah (World Events Manager): When you examine the past, you can see this.

Delilah (World Events Manager): I have been a member of DS for 4 years

Delilah (World Events Manager): and I paid $300 a month to CompuServe.

Delilah (World Events Manager): Don't forget your roots, we haven't

gloree: and we might get lower prices soon

Soleil: WOW

Delilah (World Events Manager): and we are focused on driving ahead.

Delilah (World Events Manager): Have some faith, please.

Mary J: I have no idea about that cuz I wasn't here

Soleil: Are you married Delilah?

gloree: well I do ... nearly cost me the farm

Delilah (World Events Manager): I know to our newer members that isn't a valid concern

Soleil: I wish I could afford 300/month..LOL

Delilah (World Events Manager): lol, gloree

Michael (World Manager): No, she's available. <blink, blink>

Mary J: ummmmm yes it is

Delilah (World Events Manager): <nudge>

Soleil: ROFL

Delilah (World Events Manager): There is so much history of the DS

Delilah (World Events Manager): Michael and I, regardless of the involvement you see

Mary J: I know I have read most of it

Delilah (World Events Manager): are part of that

Delilah (World Events Manager): and we do support it

Delilah (World Events Manager): and have worked furiously

Delilah (World Events Manager): for our members here

Kaiserfuchs: if you want to ask question, please ask anyone of us and we will ask it out loud

Soleil: yes<bow>

Delilah (World Events Manager): OK

Kaiserfuchs: ESP I mean <react>

Delilah (World Events Manager): let me clarify something

gloree: any clue of a time line? weeks? months?

Delilah (World Events Manager): or let me try

Mary J: are you raising prices for CC?

Mary J: sorry had to ask

gloree: no CC will be cheaper

Delilah (World Events Manager): VZones (NRW/CC)

Mary J: Nope

Kaiserfuchs: I won't say this, sw <react>

Delilah (World Events Manager): is a commercial based service

Delilah (World Events Manager): our partnerships

Delilah (World Events Manager): and advertisers

Mary J: ok..........I have another question, but I dont' want to ask

Marjolein: i want to know now<jump>

Delilah (World Events Manager): provided a great deal of income for our company

Kaiserfuchs: There is a question to Michael:

Mary J: I know that EG, but I didn't know if was the same for both cc and nrw

Kaiserfuchs: Why do you advertise on your avatar for the V-Zones in _here_

Delilah (World Events Manager): The partnerships are based in VZones

Kaiserfuchs: when you support the DS so much?

Michael (World Manager): It is the URL of the company.

Kaiserfuchs: a good question

Delilah (World Events Manager): there... KF... I can't explain

Mary J: why not go through delphi you can get in to cc for free<shrug>

Mary J: ok I have to ask

Michael (World Manager): If you look at the site, you will find Dreamscape information as well.

Mary J: This may be a really stupid question

Delilah (World Events Manager): OK, we will schedule a town meeting

Mary J: what is a V-Zone?

Delilah (World Events Manager): to take questions and explanations

Soleil: I think that would help.

Kaiserfuchs: but we have 63 ghosts right here now...

Soleil: We, and you, could prepare better.

Kaiserfuchs: let's have more questions right now <shrug>

Mary J: oh ok Thanks Dae

Delilah (World Events Manager): Yes, and I could possibly finish an explanation

Delilah (World Events Manager): which I hoped was of interest.

Mary J: for others that don't know V-Zones is Virtural Zones

Marjolein: oh<jump>

gloree: go ahead

gloree: partnerships brought money ...

Kaiserfuchs: We do much appreciate you came here, Delilah

Mary J: yes we do

Spiderwoman: Am I understandding you correctly??

Marjolein: lol

Spiderwoman: if we would get advertisement into DS we would have to pay less

gloree: ?

Spiderwoman: and our charges would be similiar to NWR new rates??

Michael (World Manager): When Fujitsu tried this (remember match.com?), the

Michael (World Manager): Dreamscape community was rather hositle towards this attempt.

gloree: Maybe there are better partners

gloree: and other subtle ways to advertise

gloree: like the book store

Kaiserfuchs: since I got so many questions:

Kaiserfuchs: <macro>

Kaiserfuchs: New NRW price is $9.95/6 months - Dreamscape remains at $19.95/month

Kaiserfuchs: !!!!! > The Dreamscape membership fee will be soon 12 (TWELVE) times as much as in NRW

Soleil: I dont have a problem w/ locales like the B and N library<shrug>

Kaiserfuchs: Many fellow avatars will leave from here to NRW <sigh>

Kaiserfuchs: We say: DON'T LEAVE, this will only cause the Dreamscape to be closed down soon!

Kaiserfuchs: STAY and show your strong support for the Dreamscape by showing a BLACK CANDLE on the streets!

Kaiserfuchs: We want the DS fees to be lowered at least to a maximum of 2 times the NRW fees!

Spiderwoman: was ever a vote done to see how many avies were against or for advertisement in DS

Kaiserfuchs: Delilah is here to address these concerns

Delilah (World Events Manager): And Michael.

Delilah (World Events Manager): I'll take a few questions

Delilah (World Events Manager): and then we will schedule a town meeting to discuss this further

Delilah (World Events Manager): VZones (NRW) is a relatively new world.

Delilah (World Events Manager): DS is 4 years old.

Kaiserfuchs: please ESP questions to me or gloree

Delilah (World Events Manager): There are new locales

Delilah (World Events Manager): and items in VZones

Kaiserfuchs: or anyone else down here

Delilah (World Events Manager): because in the first years of DS

Delilah (World Events Manager): we added new locales and items in DS

Delilah (World Events Manager): you cannot compare the two

Delilah (World Events Manager): or the rate of item/locale release

Kaiserfuchs: I take german questions also

Delilah (World Events Manager): one is a baby world

Delilah (World Events Manager): the other is established.

Marjolein: dutch too?

Delilah (World Events Manager): It is not a matter of slighting one or the other.

Delilah (World Events Manager): To compare the number of locales and items in world

Delilah (World Events Manager): DS would far outweight VZones.

Kaiserfuchs: that is correct

Kaiserfuchs: from my personal view

Delilah (World Events Manager): There are hundreds of unused locales in DS.

Soleil: <not in the jungle <gg>>

Delilah (World Events Manager): and millions of items locked away

Kaiserfuchs: chico asks: how can other 3D worlds offer cheaper memberships

Delilah (World Events Manager): I can answer questions about Avaterra worlds.

gloree: comments from a couple ghosts: feeling of being a NRW ugly step child

Delilah (World Events Manager): I can't answer comparison questions to other worlds.

Kaiserfuchs: I personally agree with you, Delilah on the items and locales

Kaiserfuchs: the number here is bigger

Delilah (World Events Manager): Avaterra is completely independent of FSBA.

Soleil: KF, I think we need to give them time. I don't know how much...but..time<shrug>

Delilah (World Events Manager): We are not a subsidiary, but a corporation of our own.

Spiderwoman: ghosty is asking, if you don't convert, you don't get the discount???

Spiderwoman: and is the deadline still Oct. 1 ??

Kaiserfuchs: but the clock is ticking, gloree, from the 16th on, the diffrence is up

Delilah (World Events Manager): For VZones, yes.

Delilah (World Events Manager): You can wait to convert until 10/1

Kaiserfuchs: and who will come to join US then?

Delilah (World Events Manager): but you won't get the new pricing

Delilah (World Events Manager): until conversion.

Delilah (World Events Manager): For VZones

Delilah (World Events Manager): IF there is a pricing change for DS

Delilah (World Events Manager): we will let you all know as soon as we do.

Delilah (World Events Manager): Give us a few weeks.

gloree: ghost asks why NRW rates were lowered first

Delilah (World Events Manager): Pogs, it has gotten better.

Kaiserfuchs: So the new pricing wil lcome into effect for NRW on 1st October?

Delilah (World Events Manager): Because VZones have partnerships

Michael (World Manager): September, 15th

Delilah (World Events Manager): No, new pricing in VZones is 9/15.

gloree: ghost: are you going to lower our number of avies?

Delilah (World Events Manager): No

Delilah (World Events Manager): If you do not log out of world prior to converting

Kaiserfuchs: So, from the 16th Sep on, we will have to compete with a world that is 12 times cheaper

Delilah (World Events Manager): if you don't cancel your iBill account

Delilah (World Events Manager): prior to converting

Delilah (World Events Manager): then yes, you do get a delay

Delilah (World Events Manager): however the techs have been manually converting those that have not followed the steps.

gloree: nice techies

Michael (World Manager): OK, folks -- I shouldn't say this, but we need you to support us. We are

Delilah (World Events Manager): VZones and DS are not in competition with each other.

Michael (World Manager): very aware of your frustration, and we understand how you feel -- we do

Kaiserfuchs: Michael, we would need support either <sigh>

Delilah (World Events Manager): 10/1 Night Rain.

Michael (World Manager): get your point, entirely. We said we are looking into options that

Michael (World Manager): would allow the company to lower the price for Dreamscape too. But we

Michael (World Manager): cannot disclosure any details at this time. We just cannot.

Kaiserfuchs: what about $19.95/6months for NRW and $9.95 for the DS/month

Michael (World Manager): I know it is asking for much in this situation, but we ask you to have

Kaiserfuchs: that would be a start

gloree: if you answered this before I missed it? any clue of a time line ... we talking weeks, months?

Michael (World Manager): some faith in us. So far, this world management has not lied to you, have we?

Delilah (World Events Manager): weeks at best

Soleil: Umm...not to me yet<shrug>

Kaiserfuchs: Wert says:

gloree: nope

Michael (World Manager): If we had not ideas, and no intensions to help you,

Kaiserfuchs: the people are not worried about the prices...

Spiderwoman: ghosty is asking why does it states Avaterra .com on our statements, but it gives us an Ibill number ??

Kaiserfuchs: but about a possible close down of the DS

Michael (World Manager): then we would not be here. Delilah and I grew up in Dreamscape,

Kaiserfuchs: I think this as well

Michael (World Manager): we were once regular members of this very world - just like you.

Michael (World Manager): It is OUR home as well.

Delilah (World Events Manager): We are NOT seeking to close the DS.

Michael (World Manager): so give us some credit.

gloree: we do

gloree: but we still worry

Delilah (World Events Manager): The billing statement issue is being handled.

gloree: ghost: will you do a town meeting at a good time for euros too?

Delilah (World Events Manager): There was no billing in July, therefore you saw 2 billings on August.

Soleil: or 2 town meetings?

Delilah (World Events Manager): Ladies and gentlemen

Kaiserfuchs: yes, from what ghosts are ESPing I see they are all still worried

Delilah (World Events Manager): we are here to discuss the pricing

Delilah (World Events Manager): not all these other issues, we will address these at a town meeting

Michael (World Manager): I would prefer one - on the weekend.

Kaiserfuchs: yes, only price issues today please

Delilah (World Events Manager): Wert, we know, and we are trying to come up with an alternative to maintain that.

Kaiserfuchs: plesase ESP me any questions

Delilah (World Events Manager): We do know how this has affected everyone

Kaiserfuchs: or others that are down here, we will ask it out loud then

Delilah (World Events Manager): we are working for a good alternative

Delilah (World Events Manager): the pricing will not be the same

Delilah (World Events Manager): as VZones

Soleil: Does anyone have a reason why we should *not* give Delilah and Michael a 'few' weeks to give us answers?

Delilah (World Events Manager): but we hope to give you some good news in the next few weeks

gloree: latecomer update: There is community concern because NRW prices are dropping to $9.95 for 6 months ... but Delilah and Michael assure us alternatives for lower prices are being worked on for DS too. BUt they cannot release details.

Kaiserfuchs: yes, because there is a 16th Sep coming up

Delilah (World Events Manager): I will address billing issues, statement issues, etc.

Delilah (World Events Manager): at the town meeting, please.

Soleil: That will not close us down though KF

gloree: sure, we can survive a few weeks

gloree: you do not risk it patty

Delilah (World Events Manager): Hang in there, dreamers...

Delilah (World Events Manager): don't give up.

Kaiserfuchs: tolearn that after a few weeks we lost much of the substance?

Delilah (World Events Manager): We haven't.

gloree: no date set, Phalanx

Kaiserfuchs: our position then would be even weaker, gloree <shrug>

Delilah (World Events Manager): So would we Wert <bow>

Soleil: I do not see us as a sinking ship though KF<shrug>

Delilah (World Events Manager): We believe it will.

Spiderwoman: I believe communication is a very important factor with all our problems

Delilah (World Events Manager): We would love to share with everyone the alternatives

Delilah (World Events Manager): but we can't at this point.

Kaiserfuchs: yes, I am sure many of us will stay here

Kaiserfuchs: even with higher prices

Kaiserfuchs: but how long can we survive without NEW members coming?

Soleil: yes Lady M...9.95/6 months

Soleil: LOL J

Delilah (World Events Manager): There have been a few ideas passed around

gloree: concern over NRW price lowering to $9.95 for 6 months..... Del and M assure we willget lower rates soon . they are working on it

Delilah (World Events Manager): for membership advertising

Kaiserfuchs: if after a few weeks there had been a boost of new members to NRW

Delilah (World Events Manager): we're looking into these

Kaiserfuchs: and none in here

Soleil: KF....I believe DS still offers a better product than NRW...

gloree: wtg Phalanx ... he says he's sticking ... me too

Soleil: we are more established...and friendlier

<ESP from Mary J: I'm staying>

Soleil: and worth a little more at this time...

Kaiserfuchs: we know that, gloree

Delilah (World Events Manager): Wwwwwait....

Delilah (World Events Manager): back up

Kaiserfuchs: butwill NEW people know that?

<ESP from Mary J: like I said they would have to pry me away with a crowbar>

<ESP from cyndi-uk1: no way ill leave DS!!!!!!!>

<ESP from Phalanx: and this is the truth....i've seen this place grow, it's a part of me, i ain't giving it up>

Delilah (World Events Manager): Stop a moment please.

gloree: that is Soleil speaking KF, nto me

Kaiserfuchs: oh, sorry: Soleil

<ESP from Digger: i just had to choose which world to pay for ,..,. picked this one .. if I had known the new prices, I probably would not have ..>

Delilah (World Events Manager): Del and M have not assured you will get lower rates soon, we are trying to assure you that we are TRYING to get lower rates, and will know in the next few weeks.

gloree: They are working on a plan, Digger ... need a few weeks

Delilah (World Events Manager): We are working on it

gloree: ok

gloree: corrected

Delilah (World Events Manager): but we cannot promise it will happen

Kaiserfuchs: see - let's say the NRW gets 1000 new members next month due to the lower prices

Kaiserfuchs: and DS will gain none at all

Delilah (World Events Manager): we can promise we are actively trying.

Delilah (World Events Manager): And it looks good

Delilah (World Events Manager): but no guarantee at this point.

Kaiserfuchs: what wouls YOU decide if you had to decide on the products?

Delilah (World Events Manager): KF, your points are valid

gloree: that's sort of a worst of the worst KF

<ESP from Phalanx: arrived even>

Delilah (World Events Manager): I wish I have a good argument to support it

Soleil: KF..do you know that they (D and M) are not actively trying to get members for DS?

Kaiserfuchs: this is the _main_ point <shrug>

Delilah (World Events Manager): but I don't.

Soleil: There may be a price difference..but DS (imho) is a better product.

Soleil: and worth more...maybe not 12x..but still..more

Kaiserfuchs: yes, I support a prce difference

Soleil: they have asked us for time...

Kaiserfuchs: (personally)

gloree: Newcomer update: Community concern over NRW prices lowered to $9.95 for 6 months .. Del and Michael are working on alternatives that may lower DS prices too, but it will take weeks to finalize

Kaiserfuchs: and I stand up for that

Soleil: they need that...and i think we owe it to them

Kaiserfuchs: but it is too high of a difference now to atttract newcomers

Soleil: Mary J....do you think Del and m would get rid of their own home so soon?

Delilah (World Events Manager): No way

Delilah (World Events Manager): I have too much love and history here.

Soleil: see<shrug>

Kaiserfuchs: well, they stated it is a business matter

gloree: they will answer billing questions at a town meeting scheduled soon

Soleil: Yes SPiderwoman..I am Skinner also

gloree: and as far as I know ... no, LB

Delilah (World Events Manager): Perhaps it is a business matter, but Michael and I have stood up for it

Delilah (World Events Manager): on a business and personal level.

Delilah (World Events Manager): We do believe in our members and the DS.

Soleil: Hello J<grin>

gloree: cool

Kaiserfuchs: we _do_ hope that your position is good enough to conitue that <grin>

Kaiserfuchs: continue

gloree: What about Avaterra at large

gloree: do they love us too?

Spiderwoman: everything is a business matter, I think us oldies in here understand that

Soleil: Hiya PC<grin>

Delilah (World Events Manager): We have to go with the changes presented to us, but we also do the best to maintain a hapy balance.

<ESP from Journalist: this is not about love <shrug>this is about money <sigh>>

gloree: true, J

Delilah (World Events Manager): We thank those of you who support the willingness

Delilah (World Events Manager): to pay the price to keep the Dream alive

Delilah (World Events Manager): and to those who are worried

Kaiserfuchs: I hope a solution can be found really soon

Delilah (World Events Manager): we are working on a solution.

Kaiserfuchs: since time is running out <sigh>

gloree: I am sure we can survive a few weeks

gloree: months might be a bigger problem

<ESP from cyndi-uk1: maybe we need an airport in DS?to get visitors in from nrw ?>

gloree: we need hope

Kaiserfuchs: yes, gloree

Delilah (World Events Manager): Michael is a pushy kitty, he won't give up.

Soleil: Yes dollbaby....NRW has lowered their price to 9.95 for 6 months

gloree: cool<grin>

Kaiserfuchs: even more than a very few weeks will be too much <shrug>

Delilah (World Events Manager): He'll also push to get the information out asap, when we can.

Soleil: that is less than 20/year

Spiderwoman: I agree KF

Delilah (World Events Manager): There are certain issues behind the scenes, we cannot divulge.

Spiderwoman: but as long we keep trying

Kaiserfuchs: any more questions? please ESP me

Spiderwoman: I think there maybe is hope for all us in here

Soleil: We must all remember..that we cannot see the 'big' picture..

Kaiserfuchs: I know we will all stand up as a single avatar <shrug>

Soleil: there are probably many things going on that we are not aware of (I hope)

gloree: I agree Mideon ... I am a Kymerite

Delilah (World Events Manager): You all have the commitment of both Michael and I that we will be here

Delilah (World Events Manager): that we have not given up on you

Soleil: Put yourself in their (del and M) positions

Delilah (World Events Manager): that we will hear your concerns

Michael (World Manager): Ghosties, is Saturday 1:00 PM WAT a good time for a town meeting?

Soleil: They cannot give out 'sensitive' info

gloree: we have an event SAturday

gloree: but maybe they can move a game

Michael (World Manager): Sunday perhaps?

It seems to me, that VZones can offer such lower rates through the partnerships and advertising that their worlds utilize. Would we accept such partnerships in the Dreamscape? Such low rates could indeed bring a flood of newbies to our shores. Are we ready for the change in culture that this would bring? We have in front of us yet another time that could bring drastic change. But perhaps we have some margin of time to think about what we would really like and plan for that. Also, perhaps we have time to let our feelings be known to the management. It is time to think carefully and speak out wisely.
