NightStar: HI DJ
Acolyte Rabbit: Please also keep movment on the ground to a minimum.
Michael (World Manager): we actually do read email.
Delilah (World Events Manager): <grin> quite often!
Alt Ego: have sent some Michael, but never get a response
Michael (World Manager): alternatively, you can voice your concerns in the
Michael (World Manager): public WA forum at http://www.delphi.com/worldsaway/
NightStar: and the mailing list too
NightStar: that was from the cloud <shrug>
Michael (World Manager): we don't read the mailing list at this time...
Journalist: opinions can also be posted in the virtual planet
Michael (World Manager): so if you want us to see your feedback, cc us ... or use the forum. <grin>
Acolyte Jess: request for no chat onscreen during questions
Delilah (World Events Manager): We're going to make some comments
Delilah (World Events Manager): answer some of the email questions we received
Delilah (World Events Manager): then we will open the floor to other questions.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Shall we get started?
Acolyte Chloe: request from cloud to keep unrelated ground conversion to a min <grin>
Acolyte Rabbit: Acos let us please ask questions from left screen to right.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Ok
Acolyte Rabbit: Esci starting
Delilah (World Events Manager): we'll let yu know when we're ready for floor questions
Acolyte Esci: no question right now here <g>
Delilah (World Events Manager): We have taken the community's concerns to management and have discussed some
Delilah (World Events Manager): of the ideas that have been posed by the DS community.
Acolyte Rabbit: hehe
Acolyte Rabbit: soon for questions
Delilah (World Events Manager): Michael and I have received letters, and have followed the public forum
Delilah (World Events Manager): closely to gather an idea of the concerns that are on our members' minds.
Delilah (World Events Manager): As we have both stated our position:  we do not want to close the
Delilah (World Events Manager): Dreamscape, we both have 4 years+ worth of history and love here, and we
Delilah (World Events Manager): believe that we can turn the direction of the Dreamscape into a more
Delilah (World Events Manager): prosperous community.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Some of the issues that have been brought to us by both members and those who
Delilah (World Events Manager): have visited the Dream and left are as follows:
Delilah (World Events Manager): - parking (butt alley)
Delilah (World Events Manager): - dead streets
Delilah (World Events Manager): - lack of public events
Delilah (World Events Manager): - lack of interactive events
Delilah (World Events Manager): - pricing (in comparison to VZones)
Delilah (World Events Manager): - how can we make the Dream more attractive to potential customers/partners
Delilah (World Events Manager): - the haves and the have nots
Delilah (World Events Manager): How can we address these issues?  We believe we have to pull together as a
Delilah (World Events Manager): community.  We have to show our management that the community is serious about
Delilah (World Events Manager): wanting to keep the Dream alive.  What steps as a community are *we* willing
Delilah (World Events Manager): to take?
Delilah (World Events Manager): - are we willing to coax each other out of parking, out of our turfs, into the
Delilah (World Events Manager): streets?
Delilah (World Events Manager): - are we willing to create interactive, publicly visible events?
Delilah (World Events Manager): - are we willing to put an end to the dissention and political nonsense to
Delilah (World Events Manager): prove that we are a community that believes in ourselves, our members, and our
Delilah (World Events Manager): management entities?
Delilah (World Events Manager): - are we willing to embrace potential partnerships, if this is the direction
Delilah (World Events Manager): we need to stay alive?
Delilah (World Events Manager): These things are important from someone on the outside looking in.  These
Delilah (World Events Manager): things are important to newcomers to *want* to stay.  We have the power to
Delilah (World Events Manager): keep the Dream alive.  We have to take positive steps together, we have to
Delilah (World Events Manager): believe it can succeed, and we have to do it together, and not against each
Delilah (World Events Manager): other.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Michael and I are not available 24/7, but we do have a staff here that we
Delilah (World Events Manager): depend on to work with our members.  We have acolytes who care about this
Delilah (World Events Manager): community, as much as our members care, and as much as Michael and I do.  Our
Delilah (World Events Manager): time is divided, we do not deny this, but we are willing to work with the
Delilah (World Events Manager): Dreamscape community to keep it alive, to help it flourish, to show to the
Delilah (World Events Manager): outside world and our management that we are willing to tow the line!
Delilah (World Events Manager): Although we have members here who have been here for 4+ years, who are
Delilah (World Events Manager): considered one of the *haves*, are they willing to gracefully allow these
Delilah (World Events Manager): items to become publicly available for the community as a whole?  Do you feel
Delilah (World Events Manager): these are issues that adversely affect the community, or are they issues that
Delilah (World Events Manager): make the Dream more attractive to newcomers?
Delilah (World Events Manager): It is the time for us to be willing to take the necessary measures, to put
Delilah (World Events Manager): ourselves to the background, and push the community ahead.  Each of us must
Delilah (World Events Manager): put our needs and desires on the backburner, if it means success for the
Delilah (World Events Manager): community as a whole.  Are we prepared and willing to do this?
Delilah (World Events Manager): Michael and I can mandate new policies, we can force change, we can take the
Delilah (World Events Manager): steps we feel necessary to push the Dreamscape into the limelight, to make it
Delilah (World Events Manager): more attractive to newcomers, to make it a more succesful entity.  However, if
Delilah (World Events Manager): in doing these things, we cause the community upset, we create dissention and
Delilah (World Events Manager): feelings of personal attack, regardless of our intent--we damage the
Delilah (World Events Manager): potential.
Delilah (World Events Manager): We have received projects from members that would like to work to do
Delilah (World Events Manager): advertising on their websites.  A competition to find a marketable approach,
Delilah (World Events Manager): using webpages, advertising, etc.  These are the kinds of things we can bring
Delilah (World Events Manager): to our management and show that the community is willing to do and accept what
Delilah (World Events Manager): it takes to keep this community alive.  Take the proactive position:  get
Delilah (World Events Manager): these kinds of ideas to your Acolytes, persist if we don't respond
Delilah (World Events Manager): immediately, get your friends to stop showing their butts, and turn around and
Delilah (World Events Manager): chat, get your games out of your turfs, so the streets are alive again,
Delilah (World Events Manager): welcome newcomers, share your elite status with your fellow members, and do
Delilah (World Events Manager): not assume that changes are done to personally destroy your life here.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Work with us, believe in us, and we will do what it takes to help keep you
Delilah (World Events Manager): alive.
Delilah (World Events Manager): These things are serious issues, ladies and gentlemen.
Delilah (World Events Manager): We have to do it together in order to succeed
Delilah (World Events Manager): and grow.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Before we open the floor for comments/questions
Delilah (World Events Manager): Michael and I will respond to some of the issues emailed to us in the past week.
Michael (World Manager): You need to understand that the future of Dreamscape is in your hands, entirely.
Michael (World Manager): and there is only this chance. If we, as community, cannot change the
Michael (World Manager): issues Delilah outlined, then we will not be in a position to
Michael (World Manager): convince upper management to agree with pricing plan changes.
<system>: Acolyte Electra crashed
Michael (World Manager): Then we will not be able to attract sponsors and partners for Dreamscape.
Michael (World Manager): We have said it before, and we will stress once again: This is your world, you have
Michael (World Manager): the power to form and shape it - and you hve the power to destroy it.
Michael (World Manager): If you truly care about this place, then we need your help.
Michael (World Manager): we cannot force change against your will, and not without your
Michael (World Manager): cooperation. We are about to drop the "parking ban" in public locales, since it
Michael (World Manager): is a rule that cannot be enforced. Everyone can then park and no acolyte will
Michael (World Manager): force ghost the parker - but if you do, be aware that it hurts Dreamscape and the
Michael (World Manager): entire community.  It's your choice.
Michael (World Manager): The future of Dreamscape is in your hands. There are a few
Michael (World Manager): months that will determinate the long-term future.
Michael (World Manager): So, we have gathered some questions ... and will answer these before
Michael (World Manager): we take "live" questions.
Delilah (World Events Manager): This is serious, folks, but we are not in panic mode
Delilah (World Events Manager): but drastic situations
Delilah (World Events Manager): call for drastic measures.
Delilah (World Events Manager): So, before I go to a few questions
Delilah (World Events Manager): let me reiterate
Delilah (World Events Manager): we do NOT have plans to close the DS.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Ok, questions.
Michael (World Manager): We will also open up opportunities for avatars to participate more.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Pre-mailed first <g>
Michael (World Manager): Avatars can become mages.
Michael (World Manager): We will allow applications for acolyte positions.
Michael (World Manager): we will support a town council as we support the new
Michael (World Manager): jungle council.
Michael (World Manager): someone has to start these things -- but don't wait for us to
Michael (World Manager): present you everything on a silver plate. You start it, we support it.
Delilah (World Events Manager): We are committed to this.
Michael (World Manager): So don't sit back and wait what others do - stand up and do it yourself.
Michael (World Manager): and you will have our support...
Michael (World Manager): Not just our "blessings", our active support.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Ok <grin>
Delilah (World Events Manager): 1) First and foremost on everyone's minds; What is going on with DS
Delilah (World Events Manager): pricing?  Are we getting a new pricing scheme?
Delilah (World Events Manager): Let me assure you all these concerns are on our minds as well.  We have been
Delilah (World Events Manager): actively researching what can be done for the DS pricing structure, as well as
Delilah (World Events Manager): how we can further the Dreamscape community.  We do not have an answer
Delilah (World Events Manager): regarding pricing today:  but we would like to hear from you what can we do as
Delilah (World Events Manager): a community to make the Dreamscape an industry competitive, successful
Delilah (World Events Manager): community.
Delilah (World Events Manager): 2) What does the future hold for DS?
Delilah (World Events Manager): The future of the Dreamscape depends on its community.  Management has no plan
Delilah (World Events Manager): nor desire to close it's doors.  We are willing to work with the
Delilah (World Events Manager): staff and community to revive it.
Delilah (World Events Manager): 3) Are there any plans to allow travel from the DS to the new VZones?
Delilah (World Events Manager): No, there are no plans to travel between DS and VZones -- they are separate
Delilah (World Events Manager): worlds, separate databases.  It is technically impossible.
Michael (World Manager): 4) Do you have any plans to expand the staff?  With all the new areas
Michael (World Manager): opening or planning on opening, are you looking for more members to help
Michael (World Manager): out with that?
Michael (World Manager): Yes, we need a few more acolytes for the various time zones - what we
Michael (World Manager): are looking for aree active, visible acolytes -- not answering machines, but motivators.
Michael (World Manager): Expect an application form on a web page soon.
Michael (World Manager): we will be accepting acolyte applications for a short period of time, probably
Michael (World Manager): two weeks.
Michael (World Manager): 5) When are all these new areas going to open?  (eg, the beach, Harlequin
Michael (World Manager): Games, Reagency Hall, KLC...)
Michael (World Manager): Harlequin Games has been delayed -- the underlying code for the
Michael (World Manager): drag&drop doesn't really work sufficient in the windows client.
Michael (World Manager): It didn't male QA and needs some fixing. The Mac code works nicely,
Michael (World Manager): so this is probably just a matter of a few weeks.
Michael (World Manager): There are no plans for Regency Hall at this time, but if you hve
Michael (World Manager): ideas for that building, let us know (via email).
Michael (World Manager): (I received the snail mail letter someone sent me regarding Regency Hall,
Michael (World Manager): I will answer via snail mail.)
Michael (World Manager): But I really prefer email.... pen and paper is ... umm... haven't used these things in the
Michael (World Manager): past ten years <grin>
Acolyte Rabbit: what email address M?
Michael (World Manager): michael@avaterra.com and delilah@avaterra.com
Michael (World Manager): we exchange email, but send it to both of us.
Michael (World Manager): thank you.
Michael (World Manager): Kymer Learning Center (KLC) will open this month.
Michael (World Manager): A first part of the beach will open October 1st ...
Michael (World Manager): We started thinking about the theatre ... which would
Michael (World Manager): be a wonderful place for creative events .. and we even have the artwork for
Michael (World Manager): an ancient Greek theatre environment.
Michael (World Manager): What we are afraid of is adding more locales that will not
Michael (World Manager): be used by the community. 90% of you wouldn't probably notice if
Michael (World Manager): we closed down 90% of the locales. We will not build a kingdom for
Michael (World Manager): a handful of locales. So if you want more locales and new areas,
Michael (World Manager): get out of these turfs and spend time on the street. Host events in the open. If
Michael (World Manager): you need support or prizes, ask acolytes, ask Lynx, ask us.
Acolyte Rabbit: Jungle Bingo perhaps?
Michael (World Manager): erm ...
Michael (World Manager): perhaps something that is more interactive? <g>
Michael (World Manager): 6) DAPI.  When will implementation in the public locales be available?
Delilah (World Events Manager): Utilize your acolyte staff please... Michael and I don't always get to answer these kinds of issues in the time desired.
Delilah (World Events Manager): oops <g>
Delilah (World Events Manager): <shushing>
Michael (World Manager): DAPI .. we submitted the technical request yesterday and the
Michael (World Manager): techies are working on it. DAPI will allow you to run some of the new
Michael (World Manager): games - and will make it harder to cheat at games such
Michael (World Manager): as WIAN.
Alt Ego: We cant glue down prizes and boxes in Public locales and people call us Hosts cheaters if we hand out prizes
Michael (World Manager): At first, DAPI will work only in two locales.
Michael (World Manager): well, then you need find new ways to
Michael (World Manager): award prizes.
Delilah (World Events Manager): We'll take comments/questions after we address those that were pre-mailed.
Michael (World Manager): Delilah and I both hosted games in 95 and 96,
Michael (World Manager): we do know that it is possible. <grin>
Alt Ego: taking suggestions
Delilah (World Events Manager): <bow>
Michael (World Manager): I'm sorry, but I don't buy "oh, I can't deal with disrupters outside of
Michael (World Manager): my own turf."
Michael (World Manager): You can.
Michael (World Manager): You have an Ignore ESP feature,
Michael (World Manager): you can manually ignore someone,
Michael (World Manager): the community has the tool of social pressure,
Michael (World Manager): and of course you can look for an acolyte.
<system>: There are 214 ghosts.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Remember, the more people on the streets, the more it is attractive to newcomers.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Remember, what are we willing to do as a community?
Michael (World Manager): Right -- if a new member comes in and doesn't see any
Delilah (World Events Manager): as individuals?
Michael (World Manager): action going on, why would she want to stay?
Michael (World Manager): Most of you probably checked out other cirtual worlds,
Acolyte Rabbit: M one point to clarify for the majority please.
Michael (World Manager): er, virtual..
Michael (World Manager): and didn't see anyone ...
Michael (World Manager): and didn't stay.
Delilah (World Events Manager): would potential partners want to invest in a dead society?
Michael (World Manager): it's the same here.
Delilah (World Events Manager): or hidden
Delilah (World Events Manager): <g>
Michael (World Manager): So, anyway, DAPI should be working by end of the week,
Acolyte Rabbit: DAPI send/recieve is what you are talking about.  Not things like Bingo, Trivia etc that use other DAPI functions.
Michael (World Manager): for Starway Stage and Library (where the chairs are).
Michael (World Manager): Right -- DAPI is for games that you could not play
Michael (World Manager): up until now.
Michael (World Manager): There is a thread in the public forum -- http://www.delphi.com/worldsaway/
Michael (World Manager): in the Dreamscape section.
Michael (World Manager): Have a look. <grin>
Michael (World Manager): 7) I was a member of Club Caribe back in the C= 64 days.  Is it an any way
Acolyte Rabbit: DAPI  Developers API  used in programing host applications.
Michael (World Manager): possible to add some of the Caribe features such as "dark" rooms that
Acolyte Rabbit: http://www.worldsaway.com/help/dapi/
Michael (World Manager): require a light source to see, "compasses" for help in mapping areas, areas
Michael (World Manager): where avatars can take an object from another avatar's hand (we used to play
Michael (World Manager): "Capture the Flag" type games this way)?  I know, tall order, but thought I'd
Michael (World Manager): ask :)
Michael (World Manager): Good ideas -- we love them, but don't have these features yet. We do have some
Michael (World Manager): code for a paintball-kind of game, similar to capture the flag, but it's
Michael (World Manager): just a portion and not really working at this time.
Michael (World Manager): One of the "soon to come" things are consumable items.
Michael (World Manager): These are items with a limited amount of charges ...
Michael (World Manager): for example, fireworks can be used 10 times, then
Michael (World Manager): the item dissapears. Some of you have already seen the
Michael (World Manager): edible pizza - this was a prototype.
Wert P Gumby: <hoping we get to see a BURP after eating it>
NightStar: LMAO
Michael (World Manager): we will introduce consumable items to Dreamscape first,
Michael (World Manager): since the idea was born here.
Michael (World Manager): and the last question we received via email:
Michael (World Manager): 8) Why the rush to offer such a SUBSTANTIAL reduction to the V-Zone folks and the
Michael (World Manager): DS'ers told we are trying for you.  WHY couldn't the V-zone reduction waited
Michael (World Manager): until something could be offered to both.  You must see now that a bad message
Michael (World Manager): was sent and that we do not expect such a drastic reduction but SOMETHING
Michael (World Manager): would have all but eliminated this whole ordeal.
Michael (World Manager): Okay - first off, no, we were not surprised when we heard about the concerns from
Michael (World Manager): Dreamscape members. But, NRW is not DS, and even though they belong to the
Michael (World Manager): same company, they are two different services, with a different structure.
Michael (World Manager): In the next few months, you will see more advertisement for Avaterra worlds,
Michael (World Manager): and winter (when people have more time to go online) is approaching quickly.
Michael (World Manager): Other companies that run virtual worlds are not sleeping, and
Michael (World Manager): unlike Fujitsu, Avaterra is not going to waste another few years.
Michael (World Manager): We were hoping to have an announcement regarding DS pricing,
Michael (World Manager): but sometimes it takes longer to make a decision - it is a complex issue.
Alt Ego: I have a Q and a statement when you are done Michael and Delilah, <bow>
Michael (World Manager): As we said at the beginning of this town meeting,
Michael (World Manager): all of you have the power to show upper management that Dreamscape
Michael (World Manager): has a unique community, and that you truly care about and for this place.
Michael (World Manager): If you want a lower price, we need your help and your cooperation.
Michael (World Manager): Also, we need ideas how to market Dreamscape.
Michael (World Manager): Yes, "commercial partners" sounds horrible to quite a few of you,
Michael (World Manager): but if you want a lower price and more members, then this is something
Michael (World Manager): you not only have to accept but also to support.
Michael (World Manager): Last but not least, keep in mind that not everything is
Michael (World Manager): under our control, some things are clearly beyond our control.
Michael (World Manager): <done>  Delilah?
Delilah (World Events Manager): A quick recap before we open the floor to questions:
Delilah (World Events Manager): 1.  We are not looking to close the Dreamscape or combine it with VZones.
Delilah (World Events Manager): 2.  What are we as a community willing to do to make it more attractive?
Delilah (World Events Manager): - end parking on the streets:  we've seen enough of your gorgeous tushies!
Delilah (World Events Manager): - come out of your turfs for games/events
Delilah (World Events Manager): - talk to people!
Delilah (World Events Manager): - be more visible and welcoming to newcomers!
Delilah (World Events Manager): - be proactive!
Delilah (World Events Manager): 3.  What plans are for the DS community now?
Delilah (World Events Manager): - we have locale openings planned
Delilah (World Events Manager): - we will build staff
Delilah (World Events Manager): - we will remain committed to making this work
Delilah (World Events Manager): 4.  Is there new pricing in the future?
Delilah (World Events Manager): this depends on the community, can we make it more enticing?  are we willing
Delilah (World Events Manager): to embrace new partnerships?  change?
Delilah (World Events Manager): We are discussing new pricing for DS, but we have to be able to show the
<system>: Open URL: http://www.avaterra.com
Delilah (World Events Manager): community is willing to make this work too.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Please keep these things in mind as you formulate your comments and questions.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Ok, let's open the floor.
Acolyte Rabbit: We will begin on screen left please
Alt Ego: Can I make a Statement re: Economy? Hopefully it will help in a decision, because I have shared this with many nad ALOT agree.
Acolyte Rabbit: Esci?
Delilah (World Events Manager): Send your questions to the Acolytes on the ground.
Alt Ego: ok <bow>
Acolyte Rabbit: Ghosties esp questions to any Acolyte on the ground
Acolyte Rabbit: Questions only please
Acolyte Rabbit: no statements at this time.
Acolyte Esci: okay, first one:
Acolyte Esci: Why were in the past all these attemps (e.g. banners on websites, etc) constantly beeing ignored by the management?
Delilah (World Events Manager): Hmm...
Delilah (World Events Manager): To be honest, as Michael and I have only taken this in the past 2 months
Michael (World Manager): There have been many banners in the past months...
Delilah (World Events Manager): this level of involvement
ESP to Acolyte Rabbit: why is avaterra competing with kymer business people in one of the most interactive activities we have ... trading.  The online auction has not reduced parkers at all.
Delilah (World Events Manager): which banners on websites are you referring to?
Delilah (World Events Manager): the advertising in the forums?
Alt Ego: <making room for Electra>
Delilah (World Events Manager): <shrug>
Delilah (World Events Manager): We have had banners running for months in various spots on the web.
Michael (World Manager): I think the WA web ring has a banner -- will surf the web a bit and see what we can find.
Delilah (World Events Manager): So I'm not sure I understand the question.
Michael (World Manager): if you have banners that you feel should be supported by us,
Acolyte Rabbit: Ok then
Michael (World Manager): drop us a note with an URL or the banner itself.
Acolyte Rabbit: Wert?
Acolyte Esci: there were offers for that, avi said.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Ah, I have just received this offer this past week.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Myself, so I haven't been aware of past offers.
Acolyte Rabbit: To screen Wert
Acolyte Esci: was a long time ago, to marketing persons
Acolyte Rabbit: as you are down
Acolyte Rabbit: <g>
Acolyte Rabbit: sorry
Michael (World Manager): Resend, please. <grin>
Delilah (World Events Manager): We, unfortunately, cannot address questions from past management.
Wert P Gumby: ok I will when my turn<grin>
Delilah (World Events Manager): There is no past, but today forward.
Delilah (World Events Manager): <grin>
Acolyte Rabbit: It is your turn Wert go ahead please
Wert P Gumby: Some Games cant be played on the street.  Would it be possible to have "game props" glued in a street locale temporarily for a host to use?
Michael (World Manager): such as lockable boxes?
Wert P Gumby: sure
Michael (World Manager): There are no other, easier ways to award prizes?
Wert P Gumby: I have a new game called yahtzee that requires 5 dice for each player<shrug>
Delilah (World Events Manager): ahh, those kinds of things yes
Michael (World Manager): The lockable boxes method is fairly new ...
Michael (World Manager): ah, okay ...
Michael (World Manager): There will be rooms for that when Harlequin opens ...
Delilah (World Events Manager): we can glue dice down temporarily for public games
Delilah (World Events Manager): Yes <grin>
Michael (World Manager): in the meanwhile... perhaps we can add a room to the Bar-L Bar ..
Michael (World Manager): for games of that kind?
Acolyte Rabbit: Store room maybe
Michael (World Manager): or we just add a game room to the bar.
Michael (World Manager): I think Electra just volunteered <eg>
Delilah (World Events Manager): <g>
Acolyte Rabbit: Ghostie Question E?
Acolyte Electra: From a ghostie:  Does CC have a greater lure?  A larger Populartion/attendance?  If so, what do you think the difference is re CC and DS?
Wert P Gumby: well, I was thinking for event days
NightStar: i saw her raise her hand
<system>: Acolyte Electra crashed
Michael (World Manager): wert, yes - shouldn't be a problem.
Acolyte Rabbit: Pest open menaing public locales
Acolyte Mondo: ?
Acolyte Rabbit: street, public rooms etc
Michael (World Manager): Club Connect/NRW has a different culture, and
Michael (World Manager): the community there has a different history. Things are
Delilah (World Events Manager): Club Connect/NRW = VZones <g>
Michael (World Manager): different, not better or worse - just different. For example, there
Michael (World Manager): are no prize heads in VZones, and the sponsorship program is
Michael (World Manager): different. I don't know why it is, but 90% of the VZones games take
Michael (World Manager): place in public locales (at event days), while in DS 90% take place in turfs.
Michael (World Manager): I think this is one of the reasons why VZones appears more
Michael (World Manager): populated.
Michael (World Manager): These are things you can change easily ..
Michael (World Manager): ask the host of your favourite game to move it
<system>: The current population is 478. The highest populated areas: Temple Street, Apartment Lobby Area, Orchid Street, East Fountain Area.
Michael (World Manager): to a public locale.
<system>: ButterRose , Acolyte Esci, Delilah (World Events Manager), Michael (World Manager), Acolyte Twilight, Acolyte Chloe, Acolyte Mondo, Acolyte Jess, Acolyte Rabbit, Wert P Gumby, Wynn, Spooky Füchsin, Journalist, Alt Ego, NightStar, and 207 ghosts.
Michael (World Manager): so more people can attend... and those who walk by can join the game.  Most
Michael (World Manager): of the regulars don't check the events schedule frequently, and new
Michael (World Manager): people don't even know what event days are - but they DO know what
Michael (World Manager): games are when they walk in a locale where one is going on.
Acolyte Rabbit: And there are many unused locales here.
Acolyte Rabbit: waiting for a host
Delilah (World Events Manager): Yes!
Acolyte Rabbit: Alt Ego a question?
Alt Ego: Yes, a lenghty one
Acolyte Rabbit: Questions only please
Acolyte Rabbit: <g>
Alt Ego: If you are interested in keeping the quote-unquote " Dream" alive, then we need to keep the "Economy" alive as well. DO NOT make all the things available that the older Avis have worked hard to get. The " Dream" that I saw when I came here is to aquire..
<system>: Acolyte Jess crashed
Alt Ego: why the sudden change in the Economy?
Wert P Gumby: MORE FISH!
Delilah (World Events Manager): In an attempt to make it attractive to new comers
ButterRose : lol
Acolyte Mondo: I have 2 questions from the clouds
Michael (World Manager): Because people are leaving Dreamscape, and join NRW because
Michael (World Manager): they can get their dream heads from a vendo.
Michael (World Manager): Or let me say it in a more blunt way ...
Michael (World Manager): ... we don't make Dreamscape for 100 people. If we want Dreamscape to
Michael (World Manager): grow and expand, we need new members - and many of them. New
Alt Ego: Yes Ghostie, there are many things I cant afford, but I work to get them
Michael (World Manager): folks do not feel welcome if they come in and live the life of a
Michael (World Manager): virtual beggar and underdog for a year before they can "afford" a
Michael (World Manager): virtual self that appeals to them.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Again, and I will continue to repeat it, what are we all willing do to individually and as a community to ensure new members, to keep the old, to be an attractive community?
Michael (World Manager): I don't work in my dreams -- why should I have to work here?
Alt Ego: lol
Michael (World Manager): I mean, if you are American or Canadian and have
Alt Ego: then why should wehave T's?
Michael (World Manager): free local calls, then I can see why working isn't so bad.
Michael (World Manager): But those European members pay at least $1 an hour.
Michael (World Manager): To buy stuff ...
ESP to Acolyte Rabbit: Why is avaterra competing with one of the most interactive activities we have .. trading?  The online auction is competing for business and not reducing parkers.
Alt Ego: Buy stuff?
Michael (World Manager): But why should you need 500,000 tokens just to
Michael (World Manager): buy a cool head?
Alt Ego: at 600 a day?
Alt Ego: NOT
Michael (World Manager): right.
Wert P Gumby: WOW, what head was that and who bought it?
Delilah (World Events Manager): Not every item will lose rare status.  But we have to provide some enticements.
Michael (World Manager): that's why I think cool heads should be 600T and
Michael (World Manager): not 500,000 <grin>
Alt Ego: you need to win Games and sell to get the rare stuff
Acolyte Rabbit: economy is an all day debate
Acolyte Rabbit: <g>
Delilah (World Events Manager): Yes it is, Rabs.
Delilah (World Events Manager): <sigh>
Acolyte Rabbit: Perhaps economy questions can be delt with in a seperate town meeting?
Alt Ego: Then set The T's to a hourly rate and no limit
Acolyte Rabbit: at a future date?
ESP to Acolyte Rabbit: please ask mine
Delilah (World Events Manager): Are we willing to make these kinds of changes though, ladies and gentlemen?
Alt Ego: I will be there <grin>
Michael (World Manager): Hourly rate and no limit = even  more reason to park,
Acolyte Rabbit: Twi, ghostie question?
Delilah (World Events Manager): or are we more interested in our personal position?
Michael (World Manager): and even more disadvantages for those who pay
Acolyte Twilight: 2 questions: 1)  will there be specific advertisements for the DS? 2) will the login process be made more stable?
Delilah (World Events Manager): Harsh, but a fact at this point.
Michael (World Manager): for local calls.,
Michael (World Manager): THIS IS AN INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY!
Alt Ego: I Park in my teuf or the Elev c
Michael (World Manager): It is not American!
Alt Ego: turf
Michael (World Manager): Yep.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Will there be specific ads for DS -- that depends on what we do from this day forward.
Alt Ego: in fact, I have 5 Avis parked in elev c now
Michael (World Manager): But you need to consider that half of the
Delilah (World Events Manager): we can't say yes or no
Michael (World Manager): members cannot park ...
Michael (World Manager): Yes, and by parking five avatars you contribute to
Delilah (World Events Manager): The login process will be more stable -- it has been being redeveloped this week.
Michael (World Manager): the inflation, to the server load (without improving the
Acolyte Twilight: flooded with economy questions/statements... will there be another town meeting for it?
Michael (World Manager): quality of the service) and therefore support higher prices.
Acolyte Rabbit: Yes it seems to be a popular issue M and Del.
<system>: Spooky Füchsin crashed
Delilah (World Events Manager): Yes, we'll schedule another meeting regarding economy, as time permits.
Delilah (World Events Manager): We need to address
Delilah (World Events Manager): TODAY
Delilah (World Events Manager): how we can move forward
Alt Ego: I am satisfied with yer answers, thanks, I have taken enough time
Delilah (World Events Manager): HOW can we get management to drop the hprice here?
Michael (World Manager): (I do realise that higher prices motivate people to park even more.)
Delilah (World Events Manager): What are WE willing to do?
Delilah (World Events Manager): Ok, Rabs
Delilah (World Events Manager): go ahead <g>
Acolyte Rabbit: Ok
Delilah (World Events Manager): Thank you.
Acolyte Rabbit: For ButterRose mostly
Acolyte Rabbit: A number of people have asked about double billed accounts.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Trying to hide in the background
Acolyte Rabbit: How can they address this issue best?
Acolyte Rabbit: Good advice Abbi
ButterRose : I'm here
Acolyte Mondo: slow down esp's please
Delilah (World Events Manager): Go ahead, BR <grin>
ButterRose : Do to unforseen problems
ButterRose : we were behind in billing
ButterRose : we realize that this incovenienced a few folks
Wert P Gumby: can you send me a basecap or a coffe mug instead of a refund if I am doubled billed?<grin>
ButterRose : and I have handled those issues
ButterRose : lol
Delilah (World Events Manager): <g>
Acolyte Rabbit: ah I recall this posted in the community forum BR
Acolyte Rabbit: about missing bill months
Acolyte Rabbit: etc
ButterRose : so if you were double billed and NOT billed in July
ButterRose : you may send me a copy of your statement and I will see that you are properly refunded
Delilah (World Events Manager): if you were billed in July
Delilah (World Events Manager): then double billed
Acolyte Rabbit: a very good place to look for info folks its free its packed with good stuff
Acolyte Rabbit: http://forums.delphi.com/worldsaway/messages/
ButterRose : if you haven't been billed in a couple months
Delilah (World Events Manager): but if you were double billed in August, and NOT billed in July
Michael (World Manager): (and include as much information - acct name, world, parts of cc number, etc. - as possible, so
ButterRose : then send me your acct info
ButterRose : and I will look into it for you
Wert P Gumby: we need links to it here in the DS.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Yes please <grin>
Michael (World Manager): that Carolyn does not have to ask three times)
ButterRose : I believed that we were all up to date
Acolyte Rabbit: <g> Ange
Delilah (World Events Manager): and be patient with our dear Carolyn
Delilah (World Events Manager): she's working her fingers to the bone
Acolyte Rabbit: Yes Jewell
Delilah (World Events Manager): and we're going to be providing relief
Acolyte Rabbit: where to email ButterRose?
ButterRose : Diana head ghostie <grin>
Delilah (World Events Manager): but help her by using the forms and supplying all the information you can
Delilah (World Events Manager): to avoid delay
Delilah (World Events Manager): don't send:
Delilah (World Events Manager): cancel my account
Delilah (World Events Manager): or:
Delilah (World Events Manager): I can't get in.
Michael (World Manager): or:
Acolyte Rabbit: problem url is best place to start
Michael (World Manager): help me!
Michael (World Manager): <grin>
Delilah (World Events Manager): that doesn't tell us much <g>
Delilah (World Events Manager): LOL
Acolyte Rabbit: or the forum
Delilah (World Events Manager): yes <grin>
ButterRose : post a problem report
Acolyte Rabbit: url anyone?
ButterRose : that way I do get all of your information
Delilah (World Events Manager): yes
Michael (World Manager): "yes" is a good url.
Acolyte Rabbit: lol
ButterRose : http://www.avaterra.com/help/help.htm
Acolyte Chloe: http://www.worldsaway.com/help/report_form.html
Wert P Gumby: can I email her about more fish?
Acolyte Chloe: hehe
Delilah (World Events Manager): http://www.worldsaway.com/help/report_form.html
Delilah (World Events Manager): thanks <g>
Delilah (World Events Manager): lol
ButterRose : that has both the billing/other and technical report form links
Delilah (World Events Manager): Thanks BR <grin>
Acolyte Rabbit: re's Jess just in time for your ghostie question
ButterRose : fish - hmmm..not my fortay lol!
Delilah (World Events Manager): Next, Rabs?
Acolyte Rabbit: Jess?
Acolyte Jess: tons of questions
Michael (World Manager): Using the form really helps to get support and answers much faster.
Acolyte Jess: lost my previous typing tho
Acolyte Rabbit: ack
Acolyte Jess: can i list a few?
Acolyte Rabbit: k ask the most popular
Acolyte Rabbit: one please
Michael (World Manager): we answer questions via email too -- delilah@avaterra.com and michael@avaterra.com.
Michael (World Manager): Put 'question' in the subject.
Acolyte Jess: the most constructive might be why not have free trials without a credit card
Alt Ego: Thank you Michael, and I will ESP you the Date when it is set <bow> <wave>
Acolyte Jess: let people see our world <grin>
Michael (World Manager): That is: not billing stuff, use the form for that.
Acolyte Rabbit: thank you ALt for joining us
Delilah (World Events Manager): If we had a Free Area in DS, we could consider this.
Delilah (World Events Manager): We'll mark this as an idea to present.
Delilah (World Events Manager): <grin>
Wert P Gumby: How about like in Habitat II where the viewing is done as a ghost only...we use to have that<shrug>
Delilah (World Events Manager): It wasn't utilized here.
Delilah (World Events Manager): We had it functional
Wert P Gumby: oh<sigh>
Delilah (World Events Manager): but no one really used it.
Acolyte Jess: maybe time to try it again?
Michael (World Manager): and I think we shouldn't offer it before there is
Delilah (World Events Manager): These are the good ideas we need to have emailed to us
Michael (World Manager): less public parking and more games on streets, <grin>
Delilah (World Events Manager): so we can evaluate and address them with our management.
Delilah (World Events Manager): true
Acolyte Jess: ghosties.. I will email the questions I recieved
Delilah (World Events Manager): if they are suggestions
Delilah (World Events Manager): email, but we'll try to address the questions
Acolyte Rabbit: Mondo, ghostie question?
Delilah (World Events Manager): don't pose suggestions in the form of questions, LOL
Acolyte Mondo: from Darc Lyte: is there any possibility to add sounds that an avi can make  such as:  Hello, goodbye, etc...
ButterRose : we have an e-mail addy just for suggestions
ButterRose : suggestions@avaterra.com
Delilah (World Events Manager): It would be an addition to the software
Michael (World Manager): I think voice support is something you
Delilah (World Events Manager): and it would be fun <g>
Acolyte Mondo: what criteria have most weight when deciding what new locales , features , eventsto put time into
Michael (World Manager): will see soon.
Acolyte Rabbit: Ghosties please email your suggestions instead of having them asked here today.
Michael (World Manager): Criteria for new locales:  Will they be used?  Are they suited for
Acolyte Rabbit: We would like to stick to the topics that Del outlined for this meeting if possible.
Michael (World Manager): their purpose?  Do they fit into the current setting?
Acolyte Rabbit: Your help in this is appreciated.
Michael (World Manager): Criteria for features:
Michael (World Manager): Do we have a chance to get it onto the programmers schedule?
Michael (World Manager): and
Michael (World Manager): Do we have a chance to get it onto the programmers schedule?
Michael (World Manager): and
Michael (World Manager): Do we have a chance to get it onto the programmers schedule?
Michael (World Manager): <grin>
Acolyte Rabbit: Chloe, ghostie question?
Acolyte Chloe: Question from ghosty: Why are there so many different routes in the jungle that go unused, the locale spaced could be better used in the town
Michael (World Manager): (still looking for something to bribe that guy with.)
Wert P Gumby: bribe them with fish<grin>
Michael (World Manager): The Jungle Committee (see Skinner for details and if
Michael (World Manager): you are interested in participating) and we are currently talking about
Michael (World Manager): jungle issues ... yes, I feel we could make the place less confusing and
Michael (World Manager): more efficient. But we are not trying to turn Dreamscape into a
Journalist: a jungle must be confusing <shrug>
Acolyte Rabbit: Its a jungle out there.
Michael (World Manager): big city ... peaceful places to relax are important.
Michael (World Manager): Yes, but if confusing means that people don't
Acolyte Rabbit: NightStar a question please?
Acolyte Rabbit: when M is done of course
Michael (World Manager): use it, then something went wrong.
Michael (World Manager): <g>
Michael (World Manager): I could not do this job without my daily pot of green tea. <g>
NightStar: I am e-mailing, thanks <grin>
Wert P Gumby: .
Acolyte Rabbit: Journalist?
Journalist: no thank you, I am just listening
Acolyte Rabbit: Esci next question?
Acolyte Rabbit: Butter Rose I mean
<system>: There are 149 ghosts.
Acolyte Rabbit: lol
Acolyte Rabbit: sorry BR
ButterRose : still here <grin>
Delilah (World Events Manager): Anyone? <g>
Wert P Gumby: How come we dont have any links to the Delphi forum here in the DS?
Delilah (World Events Manager): or shall we wrap it up?
Acolyte Rabbit: good point Wert
ESP to Acolyte Mondo: Why is avaterra competing with one of the most interactive activities we have .. trading?  The online auction is competing for business and not reducing parkers.
Acolyte Rabbit: we can do that
ButterRose : Good question and good point
ButterRose : E - you here?
Acolyte Rabbit: It shall be linked
Acolyte Jess: Icy suggests a rally:  One avatar can make a difference
Wert P Gumby: I have always wondered that and felt that DS was unwanted there due to this fact
ButterRose : Michael?  May we link inworld?
Delilah (World Events Manager): I like it!
Wert P Gumby: well, not really totally unwanted<grin>
Michael (World Manager): yes, sure.
ButterRose : Where do you feel it would be most visable?
ButterRose : I think The community center is a good palce?
Wert P Gumby: it should be at several locales
ButterRose : For newbies.
Wert P Gumby: as like the other links
Acolyte Rabbit: One comment from a number of folks
Acolyte Mondo: why is avaterra competeing with one of the most interactive activities we have here in DS
Acolyte Rabbit: they would welcome tasteful sponsorship if it ment lower prices
Michael (World Manager): The RAs suggested a message board in the elevator 2 locale.
ButterRose : William - good place as well. <grin>
Michael (World Manager): that is linked to the Delphi forum.
Acolyte Mondo: sorry didnt mean to hit enter yet
Michael (World Manager): I dropped the ball, sorry.
Acolyte Jess: lots of esps requesting polls/voting on sponsor issue
Michael (World Manager): Voting as in "we want this specific partner or we don't want it"?
Michael (World Manager): It's not like there are hundreds of sponsors that want to
Acolyte Jess: no
Michael (World Manager): advertise in DS ...
Acolyte Jess: as in: do we want sponsors versus closing the world
Michael (World Manager): Hmm.
Michael (World Manager): It is rather ...
Acolyte Jess: that was short version <shrug>
Michael (World Manager): ... do you want sponsors and a vivid community with lots of
Michael (World Manager): new people and a lower price, or do you want to preserve your
Michael (World Manager): elite status and see how the community falls apart.
Michael (World Manager): <shrug><shrug>
Wert P Gumby: I want more fish. <said quietly>
Journalist: why should come the many new people - and stay here - if they can go to the v-zones for 1/12 price?
Acolyte Jess: yes that is kinda what they would like polled
Michael (World Manager): we need a fish vendo .. just to make Wert happy. <grin>
<system>: Acolyte Esci crashed
Acolyte Rabbit: DS is Y2K compliant as long as your home PC is
Michael (World Manager): Dreamscape's culture is different. VZones does
Acolyte Rabbit: <g>
Michael (World Manager): not appeal to everyone, just like DS doesn't appeal to everyone.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Do you want to keep it alive at current pricing?
Michael (World Manager): You also get two avatars here in DS ...
Delilah (World Events Manager): No changes.
Michael (World Manager): .. it's just one in VZones.
Wert P Gumby: actually I think the question should be will sponsors/ads be done a way to keep the Ds from loking like NRW with all the billboards.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Do you think it can be kept alive this way?

<system>: There are 150 ghosts.
<br>
Delilah (World Events Manager): If each of you are willing to continue to pay current pricing, without changes
<system>: The current population is 466. The highest populated areas: Temple Street, Orchid Street, Apartment Lobby Area, East Fountain Area.
Acolyte Twilight: ghosties, I will email all of the suggestions I received from you - they are asking for questions dealing with the current topics<grin>
Delilah (World Events Manager): if you are willing to gamble that this can keep the DS alive
Acolyte Rabbit: nothing like esp bombs
Acolyte Rabbit: lol I have been saving text ghosties
Acolyte Rabbit: and will forward it
Delilah (World Events Manager): then that is what we will communicate to our management.
Delilah (World Events Manager): If you believe it cannot succeed
Delilah (World Events Manager): without a price change
Delilah (World Events Manager): then we MUST be willing to do so.
Delilah (World Events Manager): willing to change.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Of course we would make sure it was done tastefully.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Of course we would consider the content of the DS
Delilah (World Events Manager): Your ideas
Delilah (World Events Manager): your actions
Delilah (World Events Manager): what you all do from today forward
Delilah (World Events Manager): will be the guiding light to the direction we go
Delilah (World Events Manager): if you want to change it, make a difference ... as Icey states
Wert P Gumby: get Pepsi or Coke for the consumible soda but be sure our avatar burps when it finishes the can <grin>
Delilah (World Events Manager): ONE avy can make a difference.
Delilah (World Events Manager): If you don't want to embrace change, and leave things as is.
Delilah (World Events Manager): then when changes occur across the industry
Delilah (World Events Manager): including within our company
Delilah (World Events Manager): keep that in mind.
Acolyte Jess: not esps saying they want things left as is
Wert P Gumby: What about a reward system for bring in friends
Journalist: how do you think the schedule? first making ds attractive for newcomers with more public gaming, so they want to stay, and at a later time reducing the price?
Journalist: or do you think to lower the price first?
Wert P Gumby: like a special ribbon for people who bring in 10 new accounts?
Delilah (World Events Manager): can we lower the price
Delilah (World Events Manager): when our streets are dead?
Acolyte Rabbit: Ok one second please folks if M and Dels screen look like mine its solid white text
Delilah (World Events Manager): I think that's a great idea, Wert.
Journalist: so you think to keep the price high, but hope the newcomers will come
Delilah (World Events Manager): No
Delilah (World Events Manager): Why should the company lower the price
Delilah (World Events Manager): if the community is not willing to grow/change?
Delilah (World Events Manager): If elite status is the desire, if empty streets are the desire,
Michael (World Manager): It is giving and taking, folks.
Delilah (World Events Manager): then you pay for it. <shrug>
Delilah (World Events Manager): We are trying to make it work both ways.
Delilah (World Events Manager): But we can't if the community isn't willing.
Wert P Gumby: ok, I need to ask this serious question.
ESP to Acolyte Rabbit: what elite status are they talking about
Michael (World Manager): If you want a cup of coffee to your cake, then you need to trade a piece of your cake for the coffee. <grin>
Delilah (World Events Manager): Ok, Wert -- serious question.
Delilah (World Events Manager): <relax><relax>
Acolyte Jess: getting esps wondering who said they said they didn't want change
Delilah (World Events Manager): Let us have it.
Acolyte Twilight: same here Jess
Wert P Gumby: We all know Michael and Delilah have the DS best interest at heart.  What assurances do we get that Upper management, the guys that make the final decision, that the DS wont be closed this place anyways?  We saw the same
acolyte jesse: Sorry, that avatar does not exist in this world.
Wert P Gumby: Thing in Hotel where promises were made and yet it still closed.
ESP to Acolyte Jess: what elite status are they talking about?
Delilah (World Events Manager): We have the word from upper management that they will not close DS, IF the community is willing to grow.
ESP from Acolyte Jess: i have no clue
Journalist: I still have my prob with the scheduling - I gathered we gotta do everything much much more attractive for newcomers first, and then, some time, the price could be lowered
Journalist: but I still think, newcomers come rather for lower prices
Wert P Gumby: I, personally, want to be sure this will be around in a year before I put more of my heart and soul in to this place.
ESP to Acolyte Jess: would you please ask?
Delilah (World Events Manager): We do agree, Wert.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Journalist...
Delilah (World Events Manager): I do understand what you are saying,
Delilah (World Events Manager): but...
Acolyte Rabbit: Your heart and soul are already in this Wert
Delilah (World Events Manager): in order to get Newcomers here
Delilah (World Events Manager): the oldcomers
Michael (World Manager): and your fish also, Wert.
Delilah (World Events Manager): need to show their faces
Delilah (World Events Manager): it has to be a compromise
Delilah (World Events Manager): we don't have the power to just drop the price
Delilah (World Events Manager): we have to show our management
Delilah (World Events Manager): that this community has not died <shrug>
Wert P Gumby: is this from you? or from the big boys?
Delilah (World Events Manager): that it isn't hidden in trufs
Delilah (World Events Manager): It is from both of us
Acolyte Twilight: a ghostie has a good point:  this is a world - and worlds always change<grin>
Delilah (World Events Manager): We have talked about it in depth.
Delilah (World Events Manager): we have argued
Delilah (World Events Manager): cussed, discussed
Delilah (World Events Manager): pleaded
Wert P Gumby: It still scares me that we havent heard word one from the execs <shrug>
Delilah (World Events Manager): We are your link to the Execs
Delilah (World Events Manager): you've got to trust us to share with you their position
Delilah (World Events Manager): as well as our own
Wert P Gumby: ok slow down ghosties<grin>  I am a small dog with an even smaller brain<grin>
Journalist: but with a big fish <grin>
Delilah (World Events Manager): Our positions are for inworld issues...
Delilah (World Events Manager): this is both inworld (community)
Delilah (World Events Manager): and business perspective.
<system>: There are 141 ghosts.
Delilah (World Events Manager): Michael and I are being as open and honest as we can be.
Delilah (World Events Manager): It is serious here <shrug> we don't want to close DS, we have been assured
Wert P Gumby: Can we see some sort of promary letter from the execs stating they have no intent to just close this down
Delilah (World Events Manager): that if we can make it more attraactive
Delilah (World Events Manager): it won't be.
Delilah (World Events Manager): No
Delilah (World Events Manager): do you not trust us?
Wert P Gumby: and that this isnt some ploy to get us to go to NRW.
Delilah (World Events Manager): I'm not going to ask my CEO
Delilah (World Events Manager): to write a letter
Acolyte Rabbit: promary as opposed to antimary?
Delilah (World Events Manager): giving his word
Delilah (World Events Manager): when I have just spoken it
Acolyte Rabbit: <grin>
Acolyte Mondo: i thought you had little brain
Delilah (World Events Manager): If you do not trust us
Delilah (World Events Manager): then we are not effective.
Delilah (World Events Manager): <shrug>
Wert P Gumby: We trust the management that we can talk to
Delilah (World Events Manager): I give you my word.

Wert P Gumby: however we dont trust those "upstairs"
<div class="wabackground"><p><span class="spoken wacolorpairavatarself">Delilah (World Events Manager): Hello everyone &lt;grin&gt;</span></p>

Dreamscape Town Meeting - September 11th 1999.gif

Delilah (World Events Manager): Hello everyone <grin>

Acolyte Mondo: Hiyas Michael & Delilah

Wert P Gumby: the ghosties say HELLO

Wynn: greetings

Alt Ego: and D too <grin>

Acolyte Chloe: Esci <grin><grin>

Spooky Füchsin: hiya<wave>

Michael (World Manager): My ESP is off, if you have questions and comments, please send them to

Wert P Gumby: oh no<sigh>

Michael (World Manager): one of the Acolytes on the ground. In addition, you can also

Wert P Gumby: someone is giving me a wedgie

Wert P Gumby: <grin> hmmm

NightStar: NOT ƒ an aco

Michael (World Manager): send email (michael@avaterra.com and delilah@avaterra.com).

Alt Ego: Wert likes wedgies

Wert P Gumby: kinda feels nice

Michael (World Manager): just like always. <grin>

[Acolyte Electra crashed]

[There are 214 ghosts.]

[ Open URL: http://www.avaterra.com]

[Acolyte Electra crashed]

[ The current population is 478. The highest populated areas: Temple Street, Apartment Lobby Area, Orchid Street, East Fountain Area.]

Michael (World Manager): to a public locale.

[ ButterRose , Acolyte Esci, Delilah (World Events Manager), Michael (World Manager), Acolyte Twilight, Acolyte Chloe, Acolyte Mondo, Acolyte Jess, Acolyte Rabbit, Wert P Gumby, Wynn, Spooky Füchsin, Journalist, Alt Ego, NightStar, and 207 ghosts.]

[ Acolyte Jess crashed]

[Spooky Füchsin crashed]

[ There are 149 ghosts.]

<grin>

[Acolyte Esci crashed]

[There are 150 ghosts.]

Delilah (World Events Manager): If each of you are willing to continue to pay current pricing, without changes

[ The current population is 466. The highest populated areas: Temple Street, Orchid Street, Apartment Lobby Area, East Fountain Area.]

[There are 141 ghosts.]

Delilah (World Events Manager): Are we not here to talk?

Wert P Gumby: we have seen to many promises made and brtoken

Delilah (World Events Manager): Not by this management, have you?

Michael (World Manager): Do you think we would come here and tell you there are no plans to shut down DS if

Wert P Gumby: as well as things done to undermind our Dream here

Michael (World Manager): there were any plans?

Acolyte Jess: ghosts asking how long we might have to change

Michael (World Manager): and we have a good relationship with upper management,

Acolyte Jess: and if ther is any way to measure it

Michael (World Manager): our CEO does not lie,

Michael (World Manager): and neither would he have to lie.

Journalist: it doesnt need -plans- it needs just a bad hair they when one of the owners realizes the profit is not high enohgh <shrug>

Delilah (World Events Manager): How soon do you want to see a price change? the quicker we can prove the desire of this community to survive

Journalist: but its ok, of course we do trust, there is no other choice

Delilah (World Events Manager): the sooner we can get an agreement.

Acolyte Rabbit: Well all I can say on this is that I have known M for about 4 years. And Del for about 2 to 3. And I personally will stand behind them and offer all the support I am able to.

Wert P Gumby: personally I dont care about the price<grin> I think its well worth the 20 bucks<grin>

Delilah (World Events Manager): Thank you, Rabs <bow>

Acolyte Jess: the concern I'm hearing is not about the price

Acolyte Jess: its about the possiibility of closoing

Acolyte Rabbit: keg of beer is in the mail right Del?

Delilah (World Events Manager): they indirectly affect each other, do'nt you think?

Acolyte Rabbit: <g>

Delilah (World Events Manager): <g>

[Acolyte Chloe crashed]

Acolyte Twilight: I'm getting alot of esp's of support

Delilah (World Events Manager): the pricing, versus closing

Delilah (World Events Manager): if we are able to lower prices

ButterRose : sound of feet running towards dels place and the keg <snicker>

Delilah (World Events Manager): to keep it attractive

Acolyte Rabbit: wtg SpecialK

Wert P Gumby: lowering the price is nice but I am happy with the current price and am more concerned about the future existence of this world.

Delilah (World Events Manager): to prove we are worthy -- for lack of a better word

Acolyte Rabbit: Yes what can we do to help?

Delilah (World Events Manager): we don't want to lose members to VZones because of price

Acolyte Mondo: w/b chloe

Delilah (World Events Manager): or because of social activity

Acolyte Chloe: thanx <grin>

Acolyte Rabbit: Help by being social animals

Acolyte Rabbit: get out be seen

Delilah (World Events Manager): yes <g>

Acolyte Rabbit: say hello to people

Delilah (World Events Manager): become the DS Socialites

Delilah (World Events Manager): Socialytes <g>

Michael (World Manager): and drop all these petty political issues, they

Wert P Gumby: we need to start "social street clubs"

Wert P Gumby: gangs<grin>

Delilah (World Events Manager): lol

Michael (World Manager): are not important and not helpful.

Acolyte Rabbit: agreed Pest

ButterRose : Can I make a commnet?

Acolyte Jess: not more groups, just all individuals working together <grin>

Delilah (World Events Manager): Yes, BR

Acolyte Rabbit: less standing around and more socializing

Acolyte Rabbit: hehe Icy Q

ButterRose : I have been internal with WorldsAway, Avaterra from the start

Acolyte Rabbit: yes On avatar CAN make a diif!

ButterRose : and I have never seen a CEO work as hard as ours

ButterRose : he went out and fought hard

ButterRose : to make us live

ButterRose : from under Fujitsu

Acolyte Rabbit: It isnt really to hard we are just asking you to enjoy the DS.

ButterRose : he is bringing in more

ButterRose : than was ever thought possible

ButterRose : and hired awesome staff

Acolyte Rabbit: Agreed Bunny BeefCakes maybe event days should be in the streets

ButterRose : like Michael and Del here

ButterRose : to help us move forward

ButterRose : I truely do not belive he will let the dream die

ButterRose : you must help us to help YOU

Wert P Gumby: yes but they have another viable product....how profitable is the DS at this time and will be inthe future if all the efforts of upper management is not here?

Delilah (World Events Manager): our most historical employee, for those of you who do not know: ButterRose is our own lovely Carolyn Bowman.

ButterRose : When they bring folks into our worlds

ButterRose : it is like Micheal says

ButterRose : we must be visable

Michael (World Manager): But two profitable products are better than one.

ButterRose : true

Delilah (World Events Manager): Exactly <g>

ButterRose : or three or four

Wert P Gumby: ok, from the ghosties

ButterRose : but we here internally belive in DS

Wert P Gumby: boiled down ... what exactly do you want from us to be more profitable?

Delilah (World Events Manager): We know this is near and dear to all of the hearts of the people here.

ButterRose : just as much as any other world

Delilah (World Events Manager): After 2 hours, we need to consider to wrap up.

ButterRose : k

Acolyte Rabbit: ya Kenn bingo is by far the street game

ButterRose : I'm done <grin>

Delilah (World Events Manager): thanks BR <grin>

Delilah (World Events Manager): What do we want from you?

Acolyte Rabbit: other hosts should get out more

Delilah (World Events Manager): we want to see you!

Delilah (World Events Manager): <shrug>

Delilah (World Events Manager): and not your cute fannies

Acolyte Rabbit: foulette at NuYu is becoming a contender

Delilah (World Events Manager): stop parking

Acolyte Rabbit: foulette?
